Explore, snap, win. Join the hunt to find Nevada’s most unique historic trees
Just in time for Nevada Day, parade-goers and pre-partiers are invited to take part in a fun and educational Scavenger Hunt for tree lovers of all ages, courtesy of the Capitol Plaza Trees Project.
Download the clues, explore the historic grounds, snap photos of the designated Scavenger Hunt trees, and submit your photo collage to nvcapitolplazatrees@gmail.com. The participant with the most correct tree photos will be crowned the Capitol Project Trees Scavenger Hunt Ace, earning a certificate, bragging rights and a featured spot in Carson Now!
From March to May, tree experts from Wood Rodgers, Inc., conducted a comprehensive inventory of every tree on the Capitol grounds. Along the way, they uncovered some incredible finds, and now it’s your turn to explore and see them up close.
